April weSTAMP Meeting

We had a GREAT weSTAMP gathering last evening. I get refreshed, rejuvenated, and REALLY REALLY FULL from delicious TREATS! LOL I'm so happy to share with you some things from our get together!

We always start our evening with a make and take. This month Barbara taught us how to make these cute little treat bags out of an envelope. Aren't they cute and springy? Great job Barbara, they were fun to make.

The theme of our swap was a sketch from the MoJo Monday blog. Here is a picture of the sketch we followed this month.

Here are our swaps!

I ran across Dawn's tutorial on how to make faux wood grain, so immediately I thought of the stamp set Tool Time. Dawn has an awesome video on how to get this wood grain look. You can find the video HERE.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Totally Tool, Sanded, All Holidays
Paper: More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Naturals Ivory, Always Artichoke
Ink: Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Going Gray, (For Faux Wood, I used Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, More Mustard, Craft White)
Accessories: Non Stampin' Up Brads, Twill Tape, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8" Punches, Paper Piercer

3-MN Demo by Pam
Pam showed us how to cover a Kit Kat candy bar! It only uses 1 6x6 piece of paper and is an great project for May, when the focus is on Designer Series Paper!!

Door Prize by Ginny
Isn't this BEAUTIFUL? Ginny made this door prize. It is stackable boxes with a rooster theme. How PERFECT and clever to add a tag using the 2nd Level Hostess set: Rustic Rooster!

Purse Boxes

I threw a bridal shower for my future daughter in law and these are the party favors that were at each place setting. However, I forgot to take out out the insides and snap a picture of those, too! They were 4 Hershey nugget candies wrapped in matching DP, then in a cellophane bag.

I have seen a lot of these on SCS, but the first one I saw was on good ol' Becky Robert's blog. I sure LOVE her ideas! You can find her project and instructions on her blog found HERE.

April Girl's Day/Night Out

Here are the projects for April.

The first project was a total CASE of Lisa Vale's card, which can be found HERE. This card jumped off the page at me when I saw it! I knew the gals would enjoy this one! I think this one was their most favorite of the month. The "curtain" is 3-D.

Ink: Chocolate Chip, Ballet Blue, Certainly Celery, Summer Sun, Pumpkin Pie

This is a card I swapped for at Convention two years ago. The designer's name is Donna Atkinson, but her blog address is no longer active.
Stamp Set: Fun and Fast Notes
Paper: Certainly Celery, Whisper White, Basic Black
Ink: Basic Black, Certainly Celery, Lavender Lace
Accessories: Dazzling Diamonds Glitter, Cuttlebug Background, 1/4" Certainly Celery Grosgrain Ribbon

This was a Mother's Day card we did. I just can't get enough of the Bella Rose paper! :)

This card is a CASE of a CASE! You can follow the flow chart HERE. I needed a masculine card for a birthday and went to my stash and didn't have one! That's when I knew I needed to stock up on some masculine cards! It is done in Arizona Diamondback colors.

Thanks for visiting!

Ice Cream Caramel Rolls

I made these at one of my morning stamp classes this month. They were a hit, so I thought I would post the recipe. This is a fun recipe to make with your kids. They get a kick out of it because ICE CREAM is one of the ingredients. These are SO SIMPLE to make! (I got this recipe from my sister in law, who is an AWESOME COOK!)

Ice Cream Caramel Rolls

¼ C. butter
1 ½ C. vanilla ice cream
½ C. brown sugar
Pillsbury biscuits (2 cans)

Mix first 3 ingredients in pan. Bring to a boil.
Dip biscuits in sugar and cinnamon mixture.
Put in greased 9x13 pan and pour caramel mixture ontop.
Bake 325 degrees for 20-30 mn.

ENJOY!!

April Stamp Club Projects

Here are the Stamp Club projects we worked on this month. I have such an awesome time with these gals. They are so much fun and THEY inspire me so much!!

This card was a total case of Laurie's card. You can find her card and blog HERE. Not only does she have an AWESOME blog with paper crafting ideas, she also has GREAT RECIPIES!!! I have tried MANY of them, and I really think she could write a cookbook! (Even her recipies are done up CUTE "scrapbooky" style!!)

Anywhoooo......this is a fun girlie card made with TONS of punches!! It would make a great Mother's Day or Friend Card!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Oval All
Paper: Baja Breeze, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Parisian Breeze
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: 1 1/4”/Eyelet Border/Small Oval/Large Oval/1” Circle/1 3/8” Circle/Round Tab/Scallop Oval/Punches, Brads, Dimensionals

I have included a "cheat sheet" that will help with the sizes of punches that were used.

These "envelope" cards are awesome! They are truly a unique way to enclose a card! I have seen these a lot on SCS, but was inspired again by Pam Wood's swapped card in our weSTAMP meeting last month! You can see her card in a couple posts below.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Very Versatile
Paper: Riding Hood Red, Kraft, Close to Cocoa
Ink: Close to Cocoa, Riding Hood Red
Accessories: Kraft Envelopes, Daubers, Crimper, 1 1/4" Circle Punch (Can't see, but inside envelope has a circle punched out of it at the top), Scallop Edge Punch, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon

I think this is the most simple card I have ever done! The new Manhatten Flower Textured Impression Die is to DIE FOR! LOL What a fun and easy way to make an elegant card!
I cased THIS ONE on SCS, but just changed the colors.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Very Versatile, God's Many Blessings
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: Encore Gold
Accessories: Manhatten Flower Textured Impressions Die, Organza Ribbon (retired SU)

Another goodie inside the purse!

weSTAMP Project

Tonight's weSTAMP meeting was entitled "Getting Back to the Basics". We didn't have a "traditional" meeting, we STAMPED the whole time! Here is the project we made at our get-together. It was designed by the infamous Becky Roberts! I highly recommend Becky's patterns, they are easy to follow (she knows SHORTCUTS!) and are very reasonably priced! I just love her patterns! You can find Becky's awesome blog, (Inking Idaho) HERE. THANKS BECKY!
