Chocolate Bunny Easter Card

I forgot to post this card that I made over a month ago! Once again, it uses the infamous Chocolate Bunny stamp. LOVE THAT STAMP!

I made the basket by weaving strips of paper before putting it through the Big Shot Top Note die.

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Chocolate Bunny, Tiny Tags

Paper: So Saffron, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, More Mustard, Pretty in Pink, Sweet Pea DSP

Ink: Craft Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, Pretty in Pink, (Creamy Caramel, Craft White, More Mustard, Close to Cocoa used to slide across More Mustard cardstock to get the "faux wood" look)

Accessories: Eyelet Border Punch, Tiny Tag Punch, Small Oval Punch, Top Note Die, Linen Thread, 1/4" Pretty in Pink Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Brads, Background Texturz Plate, Clear Embossing Powder

I made my own Easter basket grass by just cutting THIN Old Olive paper and scrunching it up.

Sweet Scoops Ice Cream Party for weSTAMP!

I could hardly fall asleep last night after our weSTAMP get together! We had an AWESOME "Sweet Scoops" party! Four of us provided a Shoebox Swap for our group using the soon to be released stamp set called Sweet Scoops. This set was earned (FREE!) at Leadership this year!!

After the Shoebox swap, we had good ol' fashioned HOMEMADE ICE CREAM with a gazillion toppings. I have some photos below as EVIDENCE that we had a great time.

YOU can be a part of our group!! If you sign up to be a demonstrator, you are automatically a weSTAMPER! Even if you are out of town, you can participate! There are great incentives if you join NOW during Sale a Bration. Please email me if you would like more information.

Here is a photo of our gang from last night. AWESOME group of stampers AND FRIENDS!

Here are are the Shoebox Swaps we made, along with the weSTAMPER who designed the project:

February weSTAMP Swap Chocolate Bunny Basket

Here are my swaps for the weSTAMP meeting we have tonight. The theme was "spring or Easter" card or 3-D item. I did a chocolate egg box, featuring the chocolate bunny stamp you have seen me using quite a bit. More photos will follow after our SWEET SCOOPS PARTY!!

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Chocolate Bunny

Paper: Chocolate Chip, Sweet Pea DP, So Saffron

Ink: Craft Chocolate Chip

Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Pretty in Pink and Vanilla Taffeta Ribbon, Dimensionals, Scallop Trim Border/Scallop Edge Border/Flower Trio Punches, Brad, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Easter Grass, Chocolate Bunny Treat

To make the "rope-like" handle, I just punched a 1" x 8" piece of cardstock. Make sure your scallops are opposites on each side. Then I took a marker (creamy caramel) and made a line connecting each side to make it look like a rope.

I also included the pattern below. If you would like it true to size, please email me and I can send you the free pdf so you can just print it. My downline (Melissa Sunde) just made life easier for me!! She told me how to save the pattern on the internet so you can find it here. If you have have a google account and are signed in, just click HERE and you can print the pattern. THANK YOU MELISSA!! (Melissa's blog can be found HERE.) I think this link only works if you have a Google account. If you are having trouble, just email me and I will get the pattern to you.

Please let me know if I can help you with any of your stamping needs, or if you would like to order any products. You can find my Stampin' Up! website HERE, or email me. I would love to help you out!

February Girls Day/Night Out Projects

Here are the Girl's Day/Night Out projects we made this month.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Fifth Avenue Floral
Paper: Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Basic Gray, Vellum, Whisper White, Sweet Pea DP
Ink: Sahara Sand
Accessories: Baskets and Blooms Die Cut, White Brads, Eyelet Border Punch, Dimensionals, Kraft Corduroy Button

This is a CASE of a card I receieved at Convention 2 years ago! Jennifer Weide is the creator of this. She used a floral background stamp that is now retired, so I substituted En Francais for the background.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: All Holidays, En Francais
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Basic Black, Very Vanilla
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Accessories: Elegant Eggplant 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon, Dimensionals, Dew Drops

This card features a stamp from Sale A Bration called Happy Moments. One of my customers asked if I could do a "masculine" card, so this is what I came up with. I had seen the bow tied with linen thread on Stacy's blog, which can be found HERE, and loved that idea!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Happy Moments
Paper: Sage Shadow, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black, Sage Shadow, Always Artichoke, Sahara Sand, Close to Cocoa
Accessories: Linen Thread, 3/4"/1"/1 1/4"/Circle Punches, Tiny Tag Punch, Dimensionals (some of the punched circles are popped)

The last project is a gift card holder. I found a video tutorial on how to make this, and it can be found HERE. I did change a few of the things, but the scoring lines and sizes are the same. Inside the card you can add a gift card.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Vintage Labels
Paper: Melon Mambo, Razzleberry Lemonade DP, Crushed Curry
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: Cherry Blossom Embosslit, Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot Ribbon, Flower Assortment Brads

Cherry Calendar

I promise this is the last easel calendar project I will post. LOL (I ran out of calendars!) I LOVE making this style card with the calendar. They just go together like bread and butter!

My friend who collects CHERRIES had a BIG birthday this year. So along with her gift I included this for her desk in her CHERRY office. :)

February Stamp Club

Here are the February Stamp Club projects!

This first one is hard to see, but the front of the card has the shimmer paint mist all over it. So in real life, there is a blingy goldy sparkly finish to it. I made the shimmer mist spray by going to Walgreens and purchasing a tube of hand sanitizer, then adding about 1/2t. of shimmer spray to it. Just shake it up and VOILA! Instant shimmer mist! I used "Champagne" shimmer paint on this project. I know the frost white works well, too. And I also know that Platinum DOES NOT work!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Vintage Vogue, Very Vintage Jumbo Wheel
Paper: Kraft, Barely Banana, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Ink: Sahara Sand, Bashful Blue, Barely Banana
Accessories: Dimensionals, Scallop Trim Border, Platinum Shimmer Paint, Kraft Taffeta Ribbon

You can make your own shimmer mist by going to the drugstore and purchasing some hand sanitizer ($1.49). Just add about 1 t. of shimmer mist paint, shake it up, and spray your project! When the hand sanitizer is gone, substitute rubbing alcohol for the same effect. NOTE: the Platinum Shimmer Paint doesn't work well with this technique!

Shimmer Paints

Champagne Mist #116806 $5.95

Frost White #116854 $5.95

Platinum #116807 $5.95

To order shimmer paint (not in current catalog but is STILL AVAILABLE) or any other supplies, please email me, or order on my website HERE.

This card features the Sending Love Notes paper and the Glassine Envelopes found on page 19 of the Occasions Mini. The glassine envelope was dry embossed on just the bottom left corner, which is kind of hard to see in the picture.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Pretty in Pink, So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Sweet Pea DP, Sending Love Notes (Hugs), Glassine Envelope (Rectangle Envelope)
Ink: Pretty in Pink
Accesssories: Dimensionals (to pop the wing), Extra Large Two Step Bird Punch

The last project was using the Big Shot! We made these flower accessories. These can be worn as pins for your jacket or sweater, or can be used to embellish just about anything! The gals had a choice of 3 different styles to make. The one on the bag uses burlap as the middle fabric.

There is an awesome YouTube video on how to make these, which can be found HERE. However, I do a few things differently. I just cut small squares to fit the flower I am using, rather than putting one piece on the whole die cut.

Recipes:

Accessories: Fabric, Flower Folds Die Cut, Corduroy Buttons, Hot Glue

Another RAK!

This next surprise was sent from a fellow weSTAMPER, Jennie Portonova! She wasn't able to attend Regionals this year because she is caring for her mother at this time. (By the way, please say a prayer for her mama!!) The little "list" notebooks were going to be her swap at Regionals. I LOVE LIST PADS!!!! Oh and isn't this matching card beautiful? That stamp set (Garden From the Heart) is also in the Occasions Mini. Look at how she even paper-pieced the ribbon on the hat! BEAUTIFUL! Thanks Jennie!! :) (PS. Jennie told mer her sister, Toni, helped her with it, it was a joint effort). THANKS TONI!

RAK!

Look at what was in my mailbox recently!!

You may recognize this card if you are a stalker of Nancy Riley's blog, iSTAMP. I remember when she posted this and I went NUTS for it. Then to find it in my own mailbox was quite a surprise! This card features the new set found in the Occasions mini. It is called Vintage Vogue. THANKS NANCY!
