July weSTAMP Meeting

weMET, weSTAMPed, weATE, weHADFUN! I LOVE weSTAMP! Here are some photos from our gathering this week. Four from our weSTAMP group went to convention, so most of our meeting was spent sharing all the things we learned, plus all our goodies!

Leah started us off with a darling make and take, featuring the new Level 2 Hostess Stamp Set, Apple Blossoms. THANKS LEAH! Everything is NEW on this card! Don't you just love the new In-Colors?
Here's a photo of our group. Do you notice anyone missing? (Besides sweet Rachele and Leah, whose heads got cut off in the photo!) Our other fearless leader, Nancy Riley, could not make it this time. Her daughter, Allie, was in a terrible accident, which was life threatening! You can read the details on Nancy's blog HERE. Please continue to pray for Allie's complete recovery. Allie is home now and Nurse Nancy is tending to her.

Here's a photo of Allie Riley, isn't she BEAUTIFUL? God bless her!

We had a unique swap theme this month! This month we were to CASE (Copy And Share Everything) a card from the catalog, but change at least two things on it. Here is what these amazing gals came up with!

CONVENTION 2010

How do I sum up 4 incredible days of stamping fun? This was my 4th Stampin' Up! Convention, and also one of the most fun conventions there ever was!

Here are some photos that will attempt to capture the moments.

One of the BIGGEST highlights of the whole weekend was when my roomie, Linda and I won VIP BACKSTAGE PASSES during one of the sessions. SCORE!

Here we are with Dale and Shelly.

The night we arrived, Stampin' Up threw a "Flower Power" party for all the demonstrators. Here we are trying to be "groovy". (Sure wish I would have hung onto my Go-Go boots! LOL) This is my upline/downline/sideline group who went together, plus our new friend Laura!

Another highlight of the weekend was seeing my friends, Kim Sinclair and Becky Roberts. We kept bumping into each other all weekend, and then to top it off, our rooms were RIGHT ACROSS the hall from each other!! How convenient was that?? (BTW, Kim and Becky are MORNING GIRLS!! I'm so bummed we missed breakfast with them because we were STILL SLEEPING!!! RAIN CHECK PLEASE!)

I am in a group called "Control Freaks". One of the afternoons we had lunch together and swapped cards and ideas. This group is about the most amazing group I know and I am BLESSED to be a part of it!

Do YOU want to join our group and attend convention next year? All you have to do is email me and I can help you get started!! The starter kit is only $175 (valued at over $310!) and you can hand-pick most of the items in the kit!

If you were a past demonstrator, the sign up is only $35!!! However, this promotion ends July 31st. (We have to send it snail mail, so HURRY, time is running out!) Contact me NOW while we still have time!

Here are some more random shots from the convention in the video below.

Check it out!

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to CONVENTION I GO!

Hi stamping friends!

By the time this posts, I should be in Salt Lake City, UT for CONVENTION 2010! I missed last year because my son started Kindergarten during convention, so it was a no-brainer that I stay home for that EVENT! I am so excited to meet with my stamping buddies this year!

Here is one of the cards I did for the general swap. Stay tuned for more convention swaps!

Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Elements of Style, Welcome Christmas

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla

Ink: Cherry Cobbler

Accessories: Ornament Punch, Manhatten Flower Embossing Die, Dimensinals, 1/8" Real Red 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon

Because I Care

One of the cards we made in my stamp class this month was a CASE of Jen Sannes card (can be found HERE.) I love the simplicity of her card. I just changed the saying and added the butterfly. It's hard to see, but the butterfly's wings are pulled back so they are 3-D. This is a fast and simple card if you have to mass produce!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Because I Care, On Your Birthday
Paper: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede, Crumb Cake
Accessories: 1 3/4 Circle Punch, Twine, Dimensionals,
Butterfly Embosslit
