Class by Michelle Zindorf!

I have been a fan of Michelle Zindorf's work ever since I discovered her blog. Take a peek at her amazing blog HERE.

Saturday was the BIG day when my friend Peggy and I went to take one of her brayering classes. I had already decided I probably wouldn't be able to learn the technique. I have tried it and tried it but just could NOT get the hang of it! Well, to my surprise, I went home with projects that I couldn't believe I made!

Here is a photo of Michelle and I. She is the sweetest, funniest gals you'll meet. I HIGHLY recommend you take one of her classes! It was SO WORTH IT! She taught us many tricks of the trade, and I also learned what "atmospheric lines" are. LOL

Here's the first project we made.

I won her first project, so now you can see our projects next to each other. I'm sure you can tell, hers is on the right, mine is on the left.) We learned how to add sky, mountains, and land in this card.

This is the 2nd card we made. We learned how to make water in this card.

The last one is my favorite, because living in AZ, we see MANY sunsets like this (well, minus the water, of course!) We learned how to add the sun and sunlight reflection on water in our card.

I'm so excited I know how to use my BRAYER in this way!!! THANKS MICHELLE!

Love this set SEW MUCH!

I am so sorry that I have been away from blogging! I think my January was even more busy than December if you can believe that! I did many card classes this month, plus right in the middle of it was a trip to Minnesota for a wedding!

I am finally getting caught up around here, and wanted to share with you my swap for weSTAMP this month. The theme was a card using anything from the Spring Mini OR the Sale a Bration brochure.

I will post the rest of the swaps SOON, I think you are going to love them!
Recipe:
Stamp Set: Sew Suite, Pattern Pieces
Paper: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Whisper White
Ink: Early Espresso, Regal Rose (sewing machine), Crumb Cake
Accessories: Blushing Bride 1/2" Stitched Poly Ribbon, Decorative Label Punch, Dimensionals, Word Window Punch, Dauber, Watercolor Pen, Sticky Strip

I purchased the small calendars at Stamp On This.
There are a lot of easel cards out there. I just measured one that I made last year. I did find a tutorial on SCS that can be found HERE.
I stamped the ruler stamp right onto the ribbon! It is easy to do, the hardest part is just lining it up. I just used regular Classic Ink on that.

RAK from Kim Sinclair!

What a surprise to find this in my mailbox yesterday!! My stamping buddy from Montana sent this to me!!! Her name is Kim Sinclair, and she has very creative and inspiring ideas!! You can find her blog HERE. Kim is at the Stampin' Up Leadership conference this weekend in Nashville, TN. I wanted to go SO BAD, but because we are traveling to MN in a week, AND I am giving some stamping classes at our church that I couldn't adjust the dates on, I just couldn't swing it.

Kim knew I wanted to be there in the worst way, so she sent me this treat, timing it so I would get it on the day the conference started. SUCH A SWEET GAL!!!

Love this Valentine treat, and how she thinks out of the BOX using a pet set! :) THANK YOU SWEET KIM! Wish I were there with you!

2011 Version of the iPod Valentine Treat

I made a bunch of these Candy Hearts iPod Treats last year for Brady's Kindergarten class....here is the 2011 version of them, using the stamp set XOXO from the new Spring Mini Catalog! You will be able to order from this catalog TOMORROW!!!

To see my original post from last year, click HERE. I also posted the link to the pattern on that post.

I HIGHLY recommend packaging these in individual cellophane bags if you are making multiples. That way the ribbon won't get tangled up!

You may have to alter your candy box dimensions, depending on the size box you use. I also altered the circle graphics (where it says "menu") so it would fit the 1 3/4" SU Circle Punch.
Recipe:
Stamp Set: XOXO
Paper: Basic Black, Real Red, Whisper White
Ink: Stazon Black Ink, Real Red
Accessories: 1/8" Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Heart to Heart Punch, Owl Punch (small heart), 1 3/4"/1 3/8" Circle Punches, Dimensionals, Reeses Candy, Candy Hearts, Glue Dots
