Chocolate Candy Bar Treat

This is one of the projects we made for Girl's Day/Night Out this month. I CASED Connie Stewart's project HERE. However, I made my candy bar holder using ONE candy bar (Connie's has two). I also shortened the "Rules of Chocolate" so it would fit on one side of the candy bar. Instructions below:

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Eat Chocolate
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Pink Pirouette
Accessories: 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Paper Crimper, Rhinestones

Paper Dimensions:
Chocolate Chip paper is cut to 4 3/4" x 6" (Stamp chocolate stamp all over)
Score the 4 3/4" side at 2 1/4" and 2 1/2"
Blue belly band (crimped one) 6" x 1 1/2"
Chocolate Chip belly band 6" x 1"
Rules of Chocoalte PDF can be found HERE:

weSTAMP Swap

We decided to do something totally different for our swap this month for weSTAMP. The theme was a 6x6 recipe page! I decided to use the recipe that I use the most. It's so fast and easy. I do make my pie crust homemade (I took a pie-making class years ago). Most people don't want to mess with that, so I just wrote the fast and easy way (STORE BOUGHT). Still good, but not quite as good as home made.
More photos from our meeting to follow!!

Recipe: (for 6x6 page LOL)
Stamp Set: One Good Egg
Paper: Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White, Peach Parfait, Sweet Stitches DP
Ink: Basic Black, Daffodil Delight
Accessories: Large Scallop / 2 1/2" Circle Punches, Corner Punch, Daubers (for polka dots), Dimensionals (for scallop circle part), Pretty in Pink Chalk (for cheeks), Large Polka Dot Texturz Plate (Daffodil Delight background piece is embossed with this), Craft Feathers (top of chicken's head)

Beak is 3-D, and formed by folding paper and cut into a beak shape.

Eat Chocolate Card

Here is another card we made at Stamp Club this month! I was inspired by a card I received in the Control Freaks swap I was in. Ann Walker made a cute card in these colors. I don't believe she has a blog or I would post the link.

I wanted to showcase how you can use the Tulip folder and make it into a smaller card. I found a YouTube video HERE that shows you how to do this.

I LOVE all the new Baja Breeze accessories in the new Mini Catalog! Check out the Glass Glitter and Seam Binding Tape in Baja Breeze!

If you'd like to order any Stampin' Up supplies, please visit my online website
HERE. If you place an order $50, you can choose anything FREE from the Sale a Bration catalog, which can be found HERE. ALSO, please choose a pattern that I have listed on the right side bar of my blog and I will send you that as a THANK YOU GIFT!

Recipe:

Stamp Sets: Eat Chocolate, En Francais
Paper: Early Espresso, Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze
Ink: Early Espresso, Baja Breeze
Accessories: Baja Breeze Glass Glitter, Pearls, Decorative Label Punch, Baja Breeze 1/2” Seam Binding, Dimensionals, Crystal Effects (on 1st and 3rd chocolates, makes it look SHINY!)

Can't Get Enough of Sew Suite!

Here's a card from Stamp Club this month. I just can't get enough of the Sew Suite Stamp Set! LOVE that set!
The flower is made with the Flower Folds Diecut and tissue paper! You can cut out about 20 layers of tissue paper at a time because it is so thin! Each flower is 4 layers, and each flower was stamped on using the stamp Pattern Pieces. I then scrunched the flowers to give it a 3-D look. There is a button embosslit in the center of the flower.

You can stamp on ribbon!!! :)

Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Sew Suite, Pattern Pieces
Paper: Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, Basic Black, Sweet Stitches DP, Tissue Paper
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Flower Folds Die Cut, Sweet Buttons Embosslit, Daffodil Delight 5/8” Grosgrain Ribbon, Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Sticky Strip, Brad

Miniature Sewing Desk

As soon as the Spring Mini Catalog came out, and I saw the stamp set "Sew Suite" I KNEW I would be making yet another MINIATURE DESK. This one is a Miniature Sewing Desk! (Pattern can be found on the sidebar to the right on the dropdown menu.)

This one was SO FUN TO MAKE! The scissors is made out of punches! (I saw the scissors created out of punches on a card made by Sharon Howard in a recent swap.) The sewing machine, pin cushion and Diet Coke can stand up ontop of the desk. The sewing machine has real thread around the top bobbin and strung down to the sewing machine needle. The pattern pieces are stamped onto tissue paper. The desk drawers slide open.
Do you have a friend who enjoys sewing or quilting? I thought this would be a fun way to give a gift, and put "treasures" in the drawes! (Chocolate, gift certificate to a quilting store, needles, buttons, anything sewing related!)

In case you haven't seen the ones I have made in the past, you can find them HERE.

Here are all 3 of the desks that I have come up with.

If you are interested in the patterns for these, click on the "Add to Cart" icon below, or go to the sidebar on the right hand side of my blog.

My instructions are clear and easy to follow, and contain many photos!

Brady's Valentines

Our 1st grade son, Brady, wanted "cool" valentine's to give to his friends this year. This is what I came up with. I hope they are COOL enough, they sure were easy to make! Do you think the baker's twine makes it look too "Christmas-y"?

Recipe:

Stamp Set: I (Heart) Hearts, Everyday Flexible Phrases (retired), Extreme Skateboard

Paper: Real Red, Basic Black, Whisper White

Ink: Real Red, Basic Black

Assessories: Fun Dip Candy, Baker's Twine, Staple, Sponge, Curly Label Punch

Instructions: The matchbook is cut at 8 1/2" x 4 1/4", and scored at the 1/2" and 4 1/2" mark. The white cardstock is cut at 2" x 3", and the black is just about 3/16" larger than the white piece.

The rest is pretty self explanatory. The actual matchbook bows out a bit, because of the candy inside. I had to hot glue the skater to the front because of the bend in the paper. It looks like he is skating on a curved edge because of the bow in the paper! Also, I BLOOPED and smudged underneath the skateboarder, do you see that? I decided to try to recreate this BLOOP because it looks like the shadow of him! LOL Sometimes mistakes are GREAT! LOL
