Sorry no posts lately....my sweetie and I were on a Caribbean cruise, celebrating our 30th Anniversary! Oh my goodness, the time has flown by! Our anniversary gives our age away! LOL (Wait we were 12 when we got married, now I remember!! LOL)

I will share with you some crafty things I made before we left on our trip.

I am SO INTO BURLAP these days!!!! LOVE that stuff and it's so inexpensive!

This is a wreath I made for our front door. I took the wire from 2 clothes hangers and formed it into a heart. In hind sight, I would go buy some wire so it is one continuous piece. Then I took a bunch of 3" burlap strips and thread the wire in and out of the burlap so it gathers. SUPER SIMPLE to make!

The red vinyl was made from my Silhouette Cameo (awesome Chrismas gift from hubby!). The font is Skinny Jeans from Miss Tina's Font.

I wrapped a birthday gift in this. I can't even remember where I found the You Tube video on making the flower, but the lady in the video made it using 1" ribbon. I used burlap instead. I did use Stampin' Up DSP for the leaves (just hand-cut them). The DSP is called First Edition. I ran a coffee bag through the Big Shot with the Houndstooth embossing folder.

The last one was another birthday gift. I wrapped it in plain ol' brown paper that you use when you mail things. I put a strip of quilting batting around it, then a burlap strip, and finally some twine around that. I made the same flowers as I did in the above photo, but this time using a strips of batting. There is so much going on around here! Lots of stamping classes PLUS our daughter's wedding in March! Soon I will be posting wedding projects!! STAY TUNED!

Greeting Card Kids Valentine

I have to admit these little Greeting Card Kids are growing on me! I saw Jen Sannes layout HERE, and fell in love with it! I put some of our current DSP with it and the little Valentine girl and VOILA! I also used Iridescent Ice to give the image a glimmer look to it.

Malt Card (Valentine or Birthday)

I was inspired by this card on Pinterest, but wanted it to fit into the Stampin' Up envelope (Small Open-End Envelopes- item #107286). Here's what I came up with! You could use this for Valentine's Day, or as a birthday card. The sentiment inside says, "Happy Birthday With a Cherry on the Top!"

Did you know you can re-color the silver Glimmer Paper to any color? Just put a dot of reinker on a glass block, and use your Aqua Painter on the Glimmer Paper! I used Pretty in Pink reinker to recolor this heart.

It's hard to see in this photo but the malt cup is embossed with the Striped Embossing Folder.

Recipe:

Stamp Set: A Word For You

Ink: Chocolate Chip (edges of malt cup sponged in this)

Paper: Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla, Brushed Silver, Glimmer Red & Silver

Accessories: 3/4" Circle Punch (cherry), Heart Punch, Linen Thread (cherry stem), Straw (found on Etsy), Blushing Brid 1/2" Stitched-Poly Ribbon, Striped & Elegant Lines Embossing Folders, Pretty in Pink Reinker, Aqua Painter

NOTES: Cut an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock in half the long way, so it now measure 4 1/4" x 11". Score the long side at 5 1/2". Place the malt cup pattern on top of the card, with the fold lining up with the top of the malt cup.

Cut one piece of "ice cream" and after running it through the Big Shot, then just tape this piece to the front of the card.

Cold and Flu Season Get Well Card

My Stamp Clubs started again last night for 2012. It was SO AWESOME to be back in the groove of holding classes after the holiday break!

'Tis the season for cold and flu, so thought it would be fun to make light of this and create a fun card to send to one of your sickly friends! (I joked at Stamp Club that I hope my sister holds onto her cold a few days longer so I could pop this in the mail to her! JUST KIDDING of course - but not really.....LOL)

I LOVED outside of Renee's card found HERE. I thought it would be fun to add a 3-D tissue box on the inside - so the "surprise" of this card is when you open it up! Up pops a tissue box, with a real tissue inside!

Recipe:
Stamp Sets: Button Buddies, Word Play, Sweetly Said, Serene Snowflakes
Paper: Whisper White, Marina Mist
Ink: Basic Black, Marina Mist, Real Red
Accessories: Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine, Button, Tissue, Small Oval Punch, Simply Scored Tool

NOTES: The tissue box is a 6 1/4" x 3" piece of cardstock that is scored at 1 1/2", 3", 4 1/2" & 6". Tape the box shut, then attach it in the center of the card at the fold line. It will collapse nicely when the card is folded.
To add the tissue inside, cut a tissue in half. Then separate it so it is 1-ply, (makes it less bulky). Stuff it in the tissue box.

Here's a photo of the treats I made for Stamp Club. I found the recipe on this blog HERE. (Basically it's just the peanut blossom recipe subbing Dove Chocolate hearts for the center. However, I LOVE this recipe even more than the one I have, so I will be using this one from now on. They are really LIGHT and fluffy!)

Cookie Exchange

I was in a cookie exchange this week, and this is what I made. I'm finally getting the hang of making these cake pops! It's all Terri Guymon's fault, too! She gave me this beautiful Cake Pop Stand for my birthday and I have been having so much fun with it! Her cake pop blog can be found HERE. (I can't wait to make some Valentine's Day ones and change out the ribbon!)

I used red velvet cake for the cake pops. I decorated one with white candy melts and crushed candy canes. The other was done with chocolate candy melts and red hot noses and small candies for the eyes.

A Dream Come True!

I am having an incredible week this week! My sweet stamping buddy Kim Sinclair is in town this week visiting family and friends, so I got a chance to spend time with her! Kim spent some time at Diana Gibb's home, so I made the hike to Diana's house to spend some time with them. While I was there we got an AWESOME PRIVATE WATERCOLORING LESSON from Diana! She is the QUEEN of WATERCOLORING!!! (I wanted to have her come to my downline meeting as a special guest, but after seeing how far we live from each other, I can see that I would have had to FLY HER IN! LOL Just kidding...)

Anywhooooo we had a great morning/afternoon together, lots of laughs and an extremely FUN STAMPING TIME TOGETHER! These two gals are a HOOT!

Diana is giving us private watercoloring lessons!!!! FUN FUN!

We had a fun time doing a photo shoot with Diana's camera, that also had a timer. We laughed so hard because the camera setting must have been on multiple shots. The camera kept taking photos and we have some SILLY ONES that were taken that we didn't know about. FUNNY!!!!!

Notice Toby, the Yorkie in the photo. We all have Yorkies!!!! (Well, Kim is "grandma" to her daughter's Yorkie).

I then got to KIDNAP Kim from Diana's home and bring her to my home! We had a FUN day and a half doing a little bit of everything! Here we are at the English Rose Tea Room in Carefree. LOVE THAT PLACE!

We also got some shopping in, and Kim was SO SWEET to help me finish up my "Control Freaks" swap!

Angry Birds!

Here are some "Angry Bird" treats made for our son's 8th birthday party!
I just kind of made my own pattern for the treat bags and glued them onto brightly colored gift bags. (Sorry no pattern uploaded, when I was done, I threw everything away!!!)

I have been making cake pops and thought it would be fun to make oreo cookie pops. I LOVELOVELOVE this cake pop stand that my friend Terri Guymon made! She has a website FILLED with all kinds of shapes and sizes! The great thing about these is you can just change out your ribbon to go with any theme you are using. Also, you can use these stands for things other than cake pops! (Oreo Cookie Pops, cookies on a stick, fruit ka-bobs, etc.She even sells a rectanglar shaped one that will hold a 9x13 cake pan! Reindeer Noses

Here are some treats we gave our downline at the weSTAMP Christmas party! I saw the idea on Zoe's blog last year HERE.

Have you ever checked out Miss Tina's Fonts? You can find her website HERE. I LOVELOVELOVE her fonts! I used the font "Skinny Jeans" on the words: Rudolph Noses.

I have uploaded the "Reindeer Noses" pdf that I made. Feel free to use this! Just click HERE. I printed this on Crumb Cake paper, and then stamped white snowflakes on it. Just eyeball it when you put it in the top note die. (I first printed it on computer paper to figure out where to set the cardstock on the Big shot, then used the real cardstock).

Here's a photo of the gift I made for our weSTAMP gift exchange. The letters are cut out of wood, and then covered in Holly Berry Bouquet DSP. The letters are about 8" tall. I found the oversized jingle bell at a local "Big Box" store.

Last night was our weSTAMP Christmas party!! Here's a group photo of us! We had such a wonderful evening filled with FUN, FOOD, and FRIENDSHIP! Stamping was involved, OF COURSE!

Here's a photo of what everyone made. It is an 8x10 Christmas shadow box. Our own Nancy Riley designed this and got everything ready for the evening. Isn't it beautiful?? THANK YOU NANCY!!! (The largest squares in the box are 2" x 2")

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

We hope you have a wonderful day with your family! We have so much to be THANKFUL for!

I am so thankful for my FAMILY! They really are the "sunshine" in my life! (Well besides my hubby, too!) Here's a photo of our 3 kids (Brook with his wife Shannon, Brittany with her fiance' Blake, and Brady with our dog Max.)

NOTE: I have a large wall that I couldn't find a print that I liked. GOOD OL' PINTEREST saved the day! Do you know what PINTEREST is? It's a place to find really neat ideas where you can SAVE them on your own bulletin board! LOVE THAT SITE, I am a true addict! Anyhow I saw this grouping and KNEW this would be perfect on my wall!

The wrapped canvas prints were made at Costco. The size I used is 16" x 20", but you can get ANY SIZE! The "You are my Sunshine" saying was hand made by Chrissy on Etsy. She will do ANYTHING in ANY FONT! Chrissy's Etsy shop can be found HERE.

Christmas Stocking Gift Card Holder

I LOVE tone on tone projects. This little stocking holds a Starbucks gift card. I saw a version of this on Stampin' Connection by DeAnn Rauzi. Stampin' Connection is website available to all Stampin' Up demonstrators, a place for INSPIRATION!

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Teeny Tiny Wishes
Paper: Very Vanilla
Ink: Crumb Cake, Soft Suede
Accessories: Holiday Stocking Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Snowburst Embossing Folder, Victoria Crochet Trim, Very Vanilla 5/8" Seam Binding, Antique Brads, Jingle Bells, Linen Thread, Brayer, Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint

I brayered up the front side of the Snow Burst embossing folder with Crumb Cake ink, then put the stocking in there. That is how you get the snowflake to resist the color, so it looks lighter than the other parts of the stocking.

When it was all finished I made a mist spray out of hand sanitizer (when that is empty I keep refilling it with rubbing alcohol) and about 1/8 t. of the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint.

Christmas Card

Here's one of my Stamp Club cards this month. This 3-D card features a fireplace - the mantle is the 3-D part.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Festive Fun
Paper: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Red Shimmer, Holly Berry Bouquet DSP
Ink: Black Stazon, Real Red, Wild Wasabi
Accessories: Stocking Builder Punch, Gold Brads, Scallop Trim Border, Dimensionals, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Simply Scored Tool

The fireplace was made by cutting a 4" x 3 3/4" piece of cardstock. On the 3 3/4" side, score at 2 3/4" and 3". Use the Scallop Trim Border on the side that is closest to the score lines. Fold on score lines to form mantle.

We made this in my Girl's Day/Night Out class last month. This card features a pumpkin pie!

Stamp Set: Grateful Greetings
Paper: Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie (OF COURSE!) Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, River Rock
Ink: Chocolate Chip
Accessories: 1 3/8" Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Circle Punch, Dimensional (to make the piece of pie POP)

You can hardly see it but there is a 1 3/4" circle in Crumb Cake cardstock positioned under the pie to simulate the pie plate. ENJOY!

Witch's Broom

Here's a fun little way to use those awesome cellophane bags that are in the Holiday Mini Catalog! They are so affordable! Only $2.50 for 50 bags!

To make the broom, I purchased mini bags at a local craft store. Cut the top off so the edges are even, and cut about 1/8" off the bottom just above the fold line.

Trim the bag from the top edge down about 1". Cuts should be about 1/8" apart. Trim the bag again from the bottom edge (edge where you just cut off the fold). Trim this side up so it is about 1/2" from the other trims you just made.

Stuff the cellophane bag with your goodies, then tie the broom end around the bag. Gather it together, and tie with 1/8" taffeta ribbon. Voila!

Thanksgiving Card

Here is a Thanksgiving card that we made at Stamp Club this month! I saw the turkey made out of the bird punch a year ago on Lynn Pratt's blog HERE. I am amazed at her creativity!!! I was done with my Thanksgiving classes when I saw this last year, so I have waited all year to make this! Here's my version:

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Grateful Greetings (inside sentiment is the Thanksgiving saying from that set)
Paper: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, More Mustard, Soft Suede
Ink: Soft Suede
Accessories: Bird Punch (see below), Owl Punch, Baker's Twine, Dimensionals, 2 3/8" Scallop Punch, Modern Label Punch, 1 3/8" Square Punch, Striped Embossing Folder (Very Vanilla is done with this, it's hard to see here), 5/8" Early Espresso Grosgrain Ribbon

Here is a photo of how the bird is punched. Once you are done punching it out, ink the edges with Soft Suede. The leg bone of the turkey is the foot on the Owl Punch.

Halloween Shadow Box

This is a card I made for one of my downline who had a baby in August! I got a similar card at convention from Michelle Siebenthall. She used totally different colors.

Organization 101

I shared with you what went on at our weSTAMP meeting on Monday. (See previous post HERE.) We learned SO MANY great ideas from Danielle on how to get organized. I knew this would take some time for me! I decided to start small and incorporate Danielle's notebook idea. I could tackle this project!

The first step was to find a notebook small enough to fit in my purse so that I could bring it everywhere with me. I found this one at Target for $3.99. Of course, I had to cuten it up Stampin' Up style. The reason I like this style notebook is because the cover already had a cute design, and the material is hard plastic. Now I don't have to worry about DSP fraying or tearing on the edges. The other thing I liked about this notebook was the little corner square. You can change the design in that little box! There is an envelope on the front cover that you just slip your picture in there of whatever you want! You can make this book seasonal!

The "bookmark" was my weSTAMP swap from this month (see previous post). I don't actually use it as a bookmark. You will see it's function in a picture below. To make the fabric "Yo Yo" I took a 17" x 3" piece of fabric and folded it in half (wrong sides together.) Make a wide gathering stitch on raw edges, then pull to gather it. I overlapped the ends and stitched it shut. Then I glued everything else together!

I'm not kidding, this little notebook has CHANGED MY LIFE ALREADY! If you could see how many scrap pieces of paper I have ALL OVER THE HOUSE with things to remember! You can find them in my purse, in my bathroom, by my computer, and by the phone! They are ALL IN ONE PLACE NOW!

I made some dividers with the Round Tab Punch. You can customize these to fit your needs!Here is a photo of the inside cover. Now you can see how the ribbon holds the calendar in place so I don't have to tape it in there. I found a COOL website where you can download any calendar, any size! It is found HERE: http://www.printablecalendar.ca/

I used the A5 size for this project. I printed it on white cardstock, then cut them apart. Look at all those blank white squares! I WISH! (I did this 2 days ago with only 2 days left in this month). I can easily take this out when I am done with it, or stick it behind the current calendar months. You can also see in the bottom left corner the envelope that holds the picture you see on the front side (pig). This is where you change out your picture.
This is the back cover. I made a pocket by taping cardstock on 3 sides. YOU NEED a pocket! This holds information you may need to complete your tasks inside. You can see my "Big Box" rain check, and other info that is needed. Once again, I can't say enough how much I LOVE having everything in ONE PLACE!!!!!

weSTAMP Get Together!

This month for our weSTAMP get together we brought in a guest speaker, Danielle Wurth! Danielle is a professional organizer and has even written a book! You can find her website HERE.

I noticed many of our weSTAMPERS voiced the same problem I have, and that was TRYING TO KEEP our stamping areas in order, and NOT look like a tornado had just ripped through it. Granted, the space DOES get messy when we are creating, but if it tends to stay like that, then we need help! Danielle shared with us many tips to keeping our crafting areas more organized and efficient, WITHOUT having to purchase more containers or furniture! What a BLESSING she was to our group! She even shared tips for other areas in our house that could use some work, too!

We had such a wonderful evening with Danielle, and I'm so thankful to her for coming to speak to our weSTAMPERS!

I Dig Stampin' Up!

I almost fell off my chair when I got asked by Stampin' Up to be published in their monthly magazine, Stampin' Success!!! This is a magazine that is published for all Stampin' Up demonstrators. I always look forward to getting this magazine each month. It is full of wonderful ideas, tips and techniques! Because of copyright rules and regs, I am not able to link the actual magazine article, but they said I could take a picture to give you an idea of what it looked like. THANKS STAMPIN' UP!!!

Here are the projects I came up with, using the stamp set "I Dig You". I had so much fun with this!

This little dump truck is only about 4" long. There is a MINI CUPCAKE in the back of the truck. However, in the magazine article, they chose to use Oreo cookies instead. It was also cute how they crushed the oreos to make it look like the truck was going through dirt.

I would LOVE to share the pattern to this little dump truck with you! I uploaded it to GoogleDocs, and you can find it HERE.

It's so hard to see the detail in the card below. All the backhoe images are embossed in clear embossing powder, so it is raised and shiny. The arm of the backhoe was stamped twice and cut apart into 3 pieces. The hinges allow you to REALLY MOVE the arm up and down. The top layer of dirt is on dimensionals so the dump truck looks like it is really in the dirt.

This dump truck was stamped on plain white napkins. I used mini Oreos for the wheels and just set them ontop of the napkin.

The name plate simulates a construction sign. The letters were cut out using the sizzlet decorative strip die "Naturally Serif".

I'm so sorry, I didn't even save the dimensions of this box that I made (and didn't make an extra one for me to keep here!) Boxes are pretty easy to make though, and you can make it any size you want! Again, I ripped the Chocolate Chip cardstock to simulate the layers of dirt. I brayered the top to make it look like a skyline.

Harry Potter Birthday Party

I know you have heard me talk about Terri Guymon before....she is a friend of mine, and one of my downline. She is incredibly creative, and you have probably already seen some of her swaps on my blog from our weSTAMP gatherings!

Terri's son, Grant, turned 8 last week. He had a Harry Potter themed birthday party. Brady was invited. Of course, I showed up early, just so I could see everything she made before all the BOYS came! LOL I also knew I'd want some photos! (I ended up using Terri's photos, they were much better!)

PS. I had never even SEEN the movie Harry Potter before this birthday party! I KNOW I'm probably the only one on this planet who has never seen it! However, after seeing all of Terri's creations, and not "getting it", I just had to see the movie! Terri let me borrow the movie and I watched in the very next evening. After seeing it, I appreciated what she all did EVEN MORE!!

These "Golden Snitch" cake pops were SO GOOD! They were lemon flavored. Mmmm! The cake pop stand was even made by Terri and her hubby! I posted one earlier that Terri gave me for my birthday. You can view that one HERE. I absolutely love mine, what a fun and unique gift! You just change out the ribbon to make it go with whatever theme you have! These have become a HIT! Jan Tinklenberg designed this clever cupcake holder! You can find her blog HERE. She is ONE AWESOME STAMPER AND quite an entertaining writer, too! Her posts always make me giggle! The tutorial to her cupcake holder is HERE. I did alter her pattern for the back piece. She says to use 3 1/4" x 12" cardstock, and I altered it to 3 1/4" x 11" cardstock. Score this piece in half. It will only come out 1/2" shorter when you are finished.

I like to downplay my birthday (and I PROMISE I won't post anymore BIRTHDAY PHOTOS!) but there was too many crafty things going on at THIS party that I just HAD TO POST!

This photo is of my friend Lana and I. Lana is the gal who put this whole suprise birthday party together this past weekend, and BOY WAS I SURPRISED! I have never been more surprised in all my life! THANK YOU LANA and all the other family and friends who contributed!

Wait 'til you see all the crafty things! And notice the color scheme that carried throughout EVERYTHING! The weSTAMP group was a big help to Lana in putting this party together.

In case you didn't know, I have a bit of a SWEET TOOTH! You will be able to see this after you see the photos of what was all served. This was better than any cruise ship's midnight buffet!

Nancy Riley made the beautiful invitations. I asked her if her scallop punch still worked after making all these with rows and rows of scallops. LOL I love the layout of this card, and those are my favorite colors!

Here is a part of the dessert bar! Check out the beautiful banner that Linda Rodenberg made! Linda truly is the BANNER QUEEN in our weSTAMP group!

The table was FILLED with sweets! The "candy bar" had yellow/green/brown candies in it, to go with the theme, of course! Cupcakes, cake pops, bundt cakes, WOW!!

Glenda made these CUTE treat bags so you could scoop out some candy and take it home with you! I can see that a lot of time went into these! They are DARLING (and held a LOT of candy! My 7 year old REALLY LIKED THIS IDEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

There was a choclate fountain, too! Jennie Portonova contributed this tasty treat area. There were lots of yummy dipping choices for the chocolate fountain! What a TREAT! Take a look at the skewers! Pam Wood came up with these. This is yet another great use for the Pennant Punch! SO CUTE! There is an overflowing plate of chocolate chip cookies, made by Patti Galegher!! I have never seen so many at one time!!! Behind the fountain you will see OREO TRUFFLES! Those little gems were made by Peggy Powers. Mmmmmmm, soooo so GOOD!

This was the beverage area. Lana put this together. She served pineapple lime sherbert punch, iced mocha punch, and water. There was also decaf coffee and tea! There were cute tags everywhere to label EVERYTHING!

Terri Guymon is the Cake Pop QUEEN! She also gave me this Cake Pop Stand for my birthday gift! Isn't it adorable?

These cake pop stands are available for purchase! Terri has a website set up HERE. Here is another style that they have made. The COOL thing about these Cake Pop Stands are that you can swap out the ribbon on them to make it go with whatever occasion you are celebrating!

Here is another one of Terri's goodies that she made (FUDGE!). AGAIN, coordinating colors, even the FROSTING!

Aren't these about the CUTEST cupcake toppers you have EVER SEEN???? Kathy Mobley (topiary tops & cupcake holders) and Stephanie Austin (cupcake punched toppers and the cupcakes) made these! The cupcakes were to die for! The link to the Topiary Cake Toppers can be found HERE. Trivia question, guess how many 2 1/2" circles Kathy cut out? If you guess 480, you were correct! The good thing is, if you use the Stampin' Up Circles #2 die, you can cut out 10 layers at one time!

There is a famous bundt cake store in AZ called Nothing Bundt Cakes. Seriously some of the best cakes I have ever eaten!! Lana got these delicious cakes for the party!

Like I said, LABELS for everything! Stephanie Austin made all the labels, aren't they cute?

These gals thought of everything! Michelle Acuna and Melissa Sunde worked on thank you cards for me so I don't have to hand make any! OF COURSE, the color and CHOCOLATE theme is carried through on these cards as well.

I was so incredibly BLESSED by all the family and friends who had a part in this, and for those who came and helped wish me a happy SURPRISE birthday! And again, a BIG SHOUT OUT to Lana, who coordinated this whole thing. I love all of you so much!

One of the biggest reasons I wanted to go to Regionals in NV was to meet my VERY FIRST DOWNLINE, Kori! She and I have known each other for 5 years but had never met in person! I could hardly wait to meet this sweet friend of mine! We had such a great day at Regionals, getting to know each other more and more. She is such a creative gal, and I sure enjoyed spending time with her!

I made Kori an extra treat for Regionals. It is a weSTAMP mug, filled with balls of chocolate that look like little globes. I found these at Whole Foods. They go perfect with the stamp "You Mean the WORLD" to Me" from the stamp set "Word Play".

Fast and Simple Card!

Holiday Mini Catty is HERE! Plus CF Swap!

Here is my Control Freak swap card, featuring the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is a door front on the outside. The SURPRISE is when you open it up. Inside you will find a fireplace with the stockings hanging in front of it! The fireplace is 3-D, and takes it shape as you open the card.

Everything on this card is pretty self explanatory. The only kind of tricky part is the fireplace. That piece is a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Score the 5 1/2" side at 1/2", 1", 4 1/2" & 5". (I used my new Simply Scored Tool for this -just put the little markers in the measurements listed, and away I went! Makes it easy when you are making a bunch of the same card! See new product below) Then I ran this piece through the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, then fold on score lines. Tape to the inside of the card. Voila! I also added our family picture from last year on the wall above the mantel.

I got quite a few questions about how I made this card, so here are some more instructions:

Outside of card:
• Door panels on outside of door 1 1/4" x 2"
• Scallops for wreath (Wild Wasabi) are the 2 scallops we carry in the catty
• Hole punched in the middle of the smaller scallop is 1"
• Hole punched in the middle of the larger scallop is 1 1/4"
• Ink the edges of the wreath with Garden Green
• Dimensionals on door panels
• Ribbon is Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding
• Score a line around the front of the card 1/2" on all edges

Inside of card:
• Fireplace is a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock cut to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Fireplace hole is cut from bottom, 2 1/4" wide and 2 1/2" long.
• Score the 5 1/2" side at 1/2", 1", 4 1/2" & 5"
• Put tape on the ends of this piece by the score lines. Only put tape between the edge of cardstock and 1st score line
• Position this inside the card. Put the bottom one on first. The edge of the fireplace should butt against the scoreline in the card.
• Now tape the top edge of the firplace. Before you secure it to the card, make sure it folds flat. That's how I lined up where it should go on the top edge.
• Oval rug is the inside of the scallop oval die in Crumb Cake.
• Run that through the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.
• Ink edges and top of rug in Soft Suede.
• I did put a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock behind the fireplace. That piece is 4 ¼” x 3 ¼”.

weSTAMP Swap

Here is my weSTAMP swap for August. We could make a 3-D or card using anything from the new catalog!

I got the idea from Janet Baker at the Henderson Regionals last weekend. Her boot was more Victorian style. I just KNEW I was going to CASE her when I saw her creation! There is also a similar one on Stamper's Showcase, but it is a witch boot box. That one was made by Fran Sabad.

Recipe:
Stamp Set: Wicked Cool
Paper: Basic Black, Tangerine Tango, Lucky Limeade
Ink: Basic Black
Accessories: Holiday Stocking Die, 3 1/2" Circle Die, 1 3/4" Punch, Word Window Punch, 1"/1 1/4"/1 3/8"/1/4" Circle Punches, 1/8" Taffeta Basic Black Ribbon, Black Glitter, Striped & Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folders, Sticky Strip, Glue Dots, Sizzlet Candies

Cut out 2 boots out of Basic Black cardstock. Cut (2) 3 1/2" circles out of Basic Black cardstock. Using your 1 3/4" Circle Punch, punch out about 1/3 of this circle from the large 3 1/2" black circles. This will make the point of the boot.
Lay the circle ontop of the boot, matching edges so it makes a smooth curve on the top of the boot. Tape it together.
Do the same to the back side of the boot.
Run the whole thing through Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder.
Run the top boot trim through the Big Shot using the Striped embossing folder. (I only did one of these for the front of the boot.) This will make nice straight lines to follow when you are adding glitter.
Tape the front boot to the back boot, only along the sides. Use Sticky Strip!
Tape the boot trim pieceto the top front of the boot.
Decorate the rest however you'd like!

Surprise Birthday!

I have so much to share with you: more Regionals photos, and our weSTAMP swaps! But FIRST! Look what the weSTAMP group planned for our get together, without me knowing!!!

This birthday card (made by PAM!) says it all, and this is how I was treated at the SURPRISE birthday party for moi'! (Isn't this the cutest card EVER! LOVE the detail on this!)

NO! I didn't have a baby since my last post....this is sweet Melissa's new baby TAYLOR! We had a shower for Melissa when she was pregnant, you can read about that HERE. I wanted Taylor in the photo with me!! She's such a LITTLE PEANUT!

I'm so glad they didn't put the correct number of candles on the cake, I would have needed a fire extinguisher! This is a DQ ice cream cake, TO DIE FOR!

This group of gals is AMAZING! I am SO BLESSED to have such wonderful friends! THANK YOU weSTAMP!!!!! What an amazing evening! I still can't believe you got away with this - without me knowing!

REGIONALS Downline Swap

By the time you see this post, I will be at REGIONALS in Henderson, NV! If you remember, about one month ago at this time I was at the Stampin' Up Convention in Salt Lake City, UT! (As if I didn't get ENOUGH paper crafting at that time!)

When they announced that one of the Regionals would be in Henderson, NV, I KNEW I had to go! I have a special place in my heart for Henderson, NV because that is where my VERY FIRST recruit came from over 5 years ago! I will introduce you to her in an upcoming post.

Our weSTAMP group is doing a private swap. We are to make a card front and a 3-D item. I LOVE this theme from the catalog, so thought I would make a food theme. I made an apron style card and inside you will find the recipe to one of my most requested recipes, Microwave Caramel Corn! That is what is inside the treat bag to the right.

Denim Card

Here's one of the cards we made at my Girl's Day/Night Out class this month. It is quite simple to make faux denim! All you do is take Bashful Blue cardstock and run your Night of Navy ink pad across the cardstock! First run it horizontally, and then vertically. Voila!!!

This would also make a nice masculine card, just omit the stamped pocket. The pocket is big enough to fit a gift card or cash.

The pocket dimensions are about 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Paper: Night of Navy, Bashful Blue, Real Red
Ink: Night of Navy, Craft White

FUN WEEKEND!!!

Hi Stamping Friends! I'm so sorry I haven't posted in awhile! There were 3 deaths in 3 days of people I knew.....not to mention school starting, and I kind of had a BIG BIRTHDAY this past weekend! Whew!

Here is a picture of my hubby and I on our motorcycle trip from my birthday weekend. He surprised me with a trip to MANY cities, and ended up at the Grand Canyon for an overnight. We had a GREAT ADVENTURE, lots of laughs, and a really fun time.

Thank you for the many birthday greetings and beautiful cards! I will be posting them over the next weeks. But to start things off, here is a card I received from Nancy Riley about a month ago. S'More Cookie Bars

In case you haven't figured this out about me yet, you must know I have a terrible SWEET TOOTH! I am always on the hunt for new recipes to try out at my stamping events. Here is a recipe I tried at my Stamp Clubs this month. They were a hit! I found the recipe on this blog HERE.

I will also copy the recipe below. NOTE: It calls for an 8x8 pan, but I needed more bars. I doubled the recipe and put it in a 9x13 pan.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, room temperature
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/3 cups all purpose flour
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
2 king-sized milk chocolate bars (Hershey’s)
1 1/2 cups marshmallow creme/fluff (not melted marshmallows)

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan.
In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light. Beat in egg and vanilla. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt. Add to butter mixture and mix at a low speed until combined.
Divide dough in half and press half of dough into an even layer on the bottom of the prepared pan. Place chocolate bars over dough. 2 king-sized Hershey’s bars should fit perfectly side by side, but break the chocolate (if necessary) to get it to fit in a single layer no more than 1/4 inch thick. Spread chocolate with marshmallow creme or fluff. Place remaining dough in a single layer on top of the fluff (most easily achieved by flattening the dough into small shingles and laying them together).
Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, until lightly browned. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

Mini Pizza Box and Pizza Card

One of the things I MOST love about Convention is swapping with creative stampers! I received the CUTEST pizza card from Connie Babbert, which can be found HERE. As soon as I saw it, I KNEW I had to make a pizza-box to go with it! This would make an awesome gift. I think it would be fun to put about 4 cards in this gift box along with a gift card to a fun pizza restaurant. You could even make a pizza themed gift and put this in with a pizza cooking stone and pizza cutter. ENDLESS IDEAS!

This was one of my Stamp Club projects this month.

Recipe:

Stamp Set: Word Play, Borderlines, Baroque Motifs

Paper: Crumb Cake, Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Basic Black, Garden Green

Ink: Riding Hood Red, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Sahara Sand

Accessories: Crumb Cake Seam Binding, Oval Die (crust) 3/4" Circle Punch (pepperoni), 1/4" & 1/2" Circle Punches (black olives), Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch (pepper), Round Tab Punch (mushrooms), 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch, 1 3/4" Circle Punch, Scallop Oval Punch (bite out of pizza) Daubers, Striped Embossing Folder, Hemp Twine, Dimensionals

The card is 3 7/8" x 3 7/8". That way it will fit nicely inside the pizza box.

I ran the striped embossing folder on the front of the card, first vertically and then horizontally. It has kind of a checkered pattern on it when you are done. Be sure and punch the "bite" out of the pizza!

The pizza box was super easy to make! The Riding Hood Red cardstock on the top of the pizza box was ran through the striped embossing folder vertically.

Picnic Themed Gift Set

Here's a project I've been working on this week! This is a birthday gift for a VERY SPECIAL FRIEND of mine, Nancy Riley! It is a "picnic themed" gift. weSTAMP Surprise Baby Shower!

Our weSTAMP met this month, and threw a SURPRISE BABY SHOWER for Melissa Sunde! Melissa is expecting her FIRST baby next month. You can probably tell by the colors, it's a GIRL!

Here is a darling picture of Mama to be! It was also her BIRTHDAY that evening!

Maggie made the table party favors. She made up her own pattern for this! She filled the buggy boxes with PINK candy. CUTE CUTE!

Pam was in charge of decorating. Notice the DARLING clothespins holding the baby girl clothes on the line!

Pam made a BUNCH of these flowers and butterfly dangling decorations (on the back curtain). We had them everywhere in the room! They were BEAUTIFUL!

We had quite an assortment of FOOD!! Thanks to Terri, Glenda, Norene, and Kathy for providing FUN FOOD for us! Nancy donated the BEATIFUL roses in the background!

Incase you haven't noticed, not only is Terri creative at stamping, but she is ALSO creative in the KITCHEN! Her food creations are works of art! Take a look at the butterflies on these cupcakes. They are frosting SHEETS and you can actually take a craft punch and punch out shapes from them! They were SO TASTY, too! GREAT JOB TERRI GUYMON!

Here are some of the weSTAMPERS, concentrating while playing a game.

Michelle was the gal behind this cute little basket, filled with handmade thank you cards that she and many of the weSTAMPERS made. This will help Melissa when the gifts come in and she will have a stash of cards to pull from! Great idea Michelle!

Linda B HANDMADE this baby afghan! We were trying to decide if it was knitted or crocheted. (Linda wasn't able to make it that night). What a special gift, I KNOW those take a long time to make!

Terri made a scrapbook for Melissa, out of chipboard! The shoes are made of punches, and the paper is VELVET! The word BABY is BLINGED UP to the hilt with GLITTER! CUTE!

This is a shadow box that I made for Melissa. Maggie also got her a shadow box just like this, same size and all! In that box, Melissa can add her baby's handprints, photos, or anything to it! Besides the many gifts Melissa got, MANY MANY weSTAMPERS donated $ and we got her a gift certificate to Babies R Us!

We ended the evening with our swap. Our theme was to use this photo from Pottery Barn to inspire us!

One of the most exciting things at Convention was being included in Becky Robert's Downline Get Together! I wish you all could meet Becky personally, she is one of the sweetest gals I know! Becky rented a room at the Hilton for the get together. We had YUMMY appetizers, handmade surprises, made NEW FRIENDS, and she gave us some insight and business tips to help us all in our business! PLUS Becky is HILARIOUS, and so entertaining to listen to! What a FUN AFTERNOON! We were BLESSED to be included in this get together. THANKS BECKY!

Becky made us all Party Favors, how cute are these! This little box was FULL of surprises!

I also received a cute little cosmetic bag with an altered notebook, fingernail file and gum holder from Becky. I LOVE IT! Even the zipper on the bag has a cute little "Inking Idaho" pull tab. You can see an even better photo of this on Becky's blog HERE.

Becky invited a few other creative gals to her get together, too. I finally got to meet Connie Collins in person! Connie is such a SWEETHEART! I knew the moment I met her that we would hit it off! Connie has an incredible blog, which can be found HERE. Did you know that Connie was chosen from THOUSANDS of Stampin' Up demonstrators to be an Artisan Award winner? It doesn't surprise me, she's one of THE BEST!

Becky hosted a swap for all of us attending. Here is the card I made. I have WEDDING on my mind because my daughter is getting married in March! The cake stand is 3-D and pops out away from the card and cake. You can't really see that in this photo.

Here is my 3-D swap. These little nugget purses have been around awhile. I first saw them on my friend Nancy Riley's blog HERE. They were FUN and easy to make! There is a little Stampin' Up logo tag on the side of the purses. By the way, NANCY is an amazing friend! I was in a PANIC before convention because I had SO MANY unfinished projects! Sweet Nancy came over for 10 hours to help me finish up! Between her 10 hours, my 10 hours and another friend (Rachele), we logged over 24 hours getting MANY PROJECTS DONE! THANK GOD for great friends!

Last but not least, Becky had asked us before we got together who we would LOVE to meet! Besides Shelley Gardner, the CEO of Stampin' Up, these gals were the most requested! Here is Diana Gibbs to the left of Becky, and Jill Hilliard to the right! I'm not kidding, I felt like I was at the Academy Awards meeting these super creative gals!

Here are the two cards I made for the swap.

The first card is a Birthday Cake pop-up card! The left photo shows the card closed. When you open the top of the card, the cake slides up out of the pocket (right photo), revealing the sentiment on the cake! When you close the card, the cake retracts back into the card pocket. I want to do a video on this card, it is simple to make, but will make more sense if I can SHOW YOU! Check back here for the video.

This card is a coffee cup, with LIPSTICK PRINTS on the top cover! We girls can relate to that, right? (My husband asked WHAT IS THAT AT THE TOP! LOL) LOVE the new kiss stamp in the new catty! Perfect for this card! When you pull the top lid of the coffee up, out comes the "coffee" card, which is perfect to put a Starbucks gift card on!
I will try to do a video for this card, too, so you can see the dimensions I used.

Well TODAY is the day my project and tutorial hits Craft Project Central! I had such a fun time designing these summer themed projects! When the card is closed, it looks like a suitcase that is ready for VACATION! When you open the card up, the tent pops open. You can even slip a gift card on the inside of the tent! No stamping post, but this mama is SO PROUD of her son!!

This 4th of July was EXTRA SPECIAL!! Our son has been deployed since February. He finally came home (Charleston, SC) last Friday!!! What an awesome 4th of July holiday! His wife Shannon, is such a SWEETIE! She always does fun little things when he gets home to surprise him. She had this beautiful banner made and on the lawn for his arrival.

Today I drew the name for the BLOG CANDY from the Blog Hop this weekend! I used Random.org for the drawing. The magic number is 21! I started with the first post and counted to the 21st person.

For my project I chose a "Just Moved" theme. The tutorial for this is FREE, keep reading on!

From the front it looks like a house, but when you take the roof off, there is your card/sentiment/gift card inside!The front of the house has a flower box that is 3-D. The flower box will actually shift to either side and lay flat so you can easily mail it. It's hard to see the detail in this card, but the front has score lines on it to make it look like siding.

There are MANY reasons to send a card like this!

- THANK YOU for realtors to send clients, thanking them for their business
